Southern Co-op #LocalFlavours Hero Sussex – Farmhouse Cookery
Farmhouse Cookery began life in 1988 supplying cakes to local villages directly from the farm kitchen in Funtington. The business has since grown and is now based in the picturesque village of Bosham on the south coast. With a workforce of 14, Farmhouse Cookery bakes and delivers cakes, meringues and jam tarts to many retailers.
Farmhouse Cookery is run by Jason and Clare Burt. Jason took over the family business from his mother Gina when she moved to Scotland in 2002. He has fond childhood memories of his mother’s baking and proudly carries on the family tradition of baking handmade cakes the old-fashioned way.
