After winning her bumper Christmas from The Southern Co-operative, Jo said: “I had a few restless nights’ sleep the past few days as I kept dreaming that I might win the competition. It was such a fantastic surprise when Tony and Heather knocked on my door to say that I had won – my family are certainly going to have very full bellies this Christmas. We are so thankful to The Southern Co-operative for such a generous prize!”

The ‘Win a Co-op Christmas’ competition gave registered listeners the opportunity to correctly answer a question live on-air, pick a unique number between 1 and 20 for the chance to win a Christmas Pudding and be entered into the Big Prize draw to Win a Co-Op Christmas.

Tony McGuinness, Manager of The Southern Co-operative Freshwater store who supplied the huge prize, said: “It was really exciting to be able to give one of our customers a complete Christmas feast and make their Christmas a very special occasion this year. Jo was over the moon with her prize – I just hope the Bohm family are going to be able to eat all the food!”

The Southern Co-operative store in Freshwater opened in September this year and is the flagship store for the Local Flavours range, stocking food and drink from over 35 Isle of Wight growers and producers. The store also has a dedicated ‘Fresh from the Island’ counter which offers locally sourced meat, cheese, fish, savoury pies and more.
