Our community programme supports and encourages the creation of greener, safer and healthier communities.

Greener

We’re greening our neighbourhoods creating space for wildlife and places our communities can enjoy

Safer

We work in partnership with others to make our communities a safer place to live and work

Healthier

We want to create stronger more resilient communities, by supporting community health and wellbeing

How do we do it?

Goods Donation

We understand small donations of our products can make a big difference to charity and good cause’s activities; so whether you are a lunch club who needs lettuces, a PTA offering prizes or hosting an afternoon tea with no cake, our colleagues can help.

Simply print and complete the application and take it along to your nearest Southern Co-op food store or funeralcare branch, where we can help put the fizz in your fiesta. Find your nearest store here

Foodbanks

Over 100 of our retail stores host a collection point for a local food bank. If you would like to donate any items, you can find your nearest collection point here: https://southern.coop/store-locator

We also donate 2p with every eligible transaction membership card swipe to local food bank partners.

Fundraising

All our retail stores are currently raising funds for our food bank partners.

Food banks and collection points

Our retail and funeralcare locations support many food banks and charities by hosting a collection point, including those run by Trussell Trust, My Sister’s House and the Salvation Army.

If you would like to donate any of the items on the left they can be dropped in one of our collection points, which you can locate using our store finder here

Alternatively, if you are a group who would benefit from a collection point at one of our locations, email community@southerncoops.co.uk
