New Southern Co-op store opens in Weston Road, Portland

On Thursday 15th March 7 pupils from Royal Manor Arts College joined the store Store Manager to help cut the ribbon and open our newly reformatted neighbourhood Co-operative store in Weston Road, Portland. The pupils were very excited to be the first customers to see the new design of the store.

New Community Support Card scheme launched in Overton!

Saturday, 24th March, saw the official launch of The Southern Co-operative Community Support Card scheme running at Overton Co-operative. The new beneficiaries under the scheme are Overton School Association and Kingfisher Day Centre. The fundraising target is £10,000.

Pupils’ little steps could help to make a huge difference

IT’S a case of several small steps could make a giant leap at one school where boys and girls have created hundreds of footprints to celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight.

Almost 400 youngsters at St Paul’s Catholic Primary in Paulsgrove have coloured in individual footprints to make a trail to their local Co-op store, which stocks Fairtrade products to support farmers in developing countries.

Cycle this way!

On the 3rd of March, Chichester Co-op store organised a Fairtrade cycle ride from Chichester to Bosham. Everyone was invited to join this gentle ride had was aiming to raise awareness of Fairtrade.
