Store’s community support scheme donates £30,000 to West Wight charities

Two West Wight charities have received a share of £30,000, donated by The Southern Co-operative’s Community Support Card run at its Freshwater store.

Wight Community Access  – FYTbus, a community bus service in West Wight, has received £20,000 and Freshwater Memorial Hall £10,000 from The Southern Co-operative (TSC). The funds were raised with the support of the store’s customers, without costing them anything, simply by requesting a free Community Support Card (CSC) and having this swiped each time they shop at the store. The more the cards are swiped, the quicker the funds are raised.
