17 new full and part time jobs have been created for local people in The Southern Co-operative’s new food store which has just opened in Eastbourne.
The new store, located at 365 Seaside, was officially opened by children from St Andrews Church of England Infant School. Store Manager Chris Jovic cut the ribbon and invited shoppers to look around, the first 50 of whom were treated to a complimentary box of chocolates. The school was also presented with a cheque for £500 from The Southern Co-operative.
A wide range of fresh foods are stocked in the new store as well as an in-store bakery. There are also special money-saving offers in store to celebrate its opening, valid until the end of October. The Southern Co-operative is an independent business with over 160 stores, owned by its members and trading only in the south of England.
