Co-op Xest keep it local

Co-op Xest is pleased to be working with Lavender Fields, a local lavender supplier for their new range of relaxing home fragrances and body-care products, proving that national suppliers can keep it local.

Lavender Fields at Hartley Park Farm is run by the Butler family, third generation farmers, who grow, distil and produce high quality lavender oil, which they combine into this beautiful range. They are part of Hampshire Fare, an organisation who actively promote the benefits of buying local produce to encourage sustainable food, drink and craft businesses, and who are also a corporate partner of The Southern Co-operative.

“We were putting together our gift range and I happen to drive past the beautiful scenery from Lavender Fields everyday on the way into work, so it seemed an ideal choice. They have high quality standards and a fine eye for detail which can be seen in the packaging and presentation of their products.” explains David White, Head of Trading at co-op Xest.

David continues: “We’re delighted to be supporting our local suppliers as part of a co-operative where community is important, buying local is core to our business and it also makes supply a lot easier as they are close by.”

Owner Anne Butler: “It’s great that co-op Xest are supporting the local rural economy in Hampshire and seeing our products being purchased all over the country is very exciting. We were pleased to develop the product range with David and his team exclusively for co-op Xest, and hope to develop it further over time.”
