Saturday, 21st April, saw the official launch of The Southern Co-operative Community Support Card scheme running at Lee-on-Solent Co-operative. The first beneficiaries of the scheme are Lee-on-the-Solent Junior and Infant Schools and Community Responders and they aim to raise £15,000.
The scheme works through The Southern Co-operative making a donation to the fund every time a customer has their special community card swiped when shopping.
At Saturday’s event visitors enjoyed a performance from the children that go to Lee-on-the-Solent Junior Schools and a display of Birds of Prey, as well as arts and crafts activities. The children present had loads of fun doing the Zumba.
