On Thursday 27th April Bearwood Community Centre joined the store Store Manager to help cut the ribbon and open our newly reformatted neighbourhood Co-operative store in Bearwood.
A donation totalling £500 was made to the Centre.
Our first 100 customers also benefited from an ‘opening day offer’ of a free box of fair-trade chocolates.
The store is open 7am to 11pm, 7 days a week and consists of approx 2300sq ft of retail space. It offers a comprehensive premium range of chilled goods, fresh produce and butchery products; as well as the Co-operative ‘Truly Irresistible’ and Fairtrade ranges that the Co-operative is renowned for. An in-store bakery has also been introduced, providing freshly baked bread and pastries on a daily basis.
