On Wednesday 30th November 8 pupils from Weybourne Infant School joined the store Store Manager to help cut the ribbon and open our new neighbourhood top up Co-operative food store in Heath End, Farnham. The pupils were very excited to be the first customers allowed to walk around the store.

A donation totalling £500 was made to the School as a thank you. Headmistress, Linda Mason, of Weybourne Infant School said the money will be spent on buying lots of new books for the library.

Our first 50 customers also benefited from an ‘opening day offer’ of a free bottle of wine or alternative box of chocolates for our younger customers.

The store is open 7am to 11pm, 7 days a week and consists of approx 2700sq ft of retail space. It offers a comprehensive premium range of chilled goods, fresh produce and butchery products; as well as the Co-operative ‘Truly Irresistible’ and Fairtrade ranges that the Co-operative is renowned for. An in-store bakery has also been introduced, providing freshly baked bread and pastries on a daily basis.

As part of our commitment to the local economy, 15 jobs have been created for local people with the opening of this store.

With seasonal savings and totally tempting deals – here’s the perfect excuse to come and visit…
