The Southern Co-operative is calling on all of its members to determine how the business is governed by voting for their new Board of Directors and receive a bonus share of the profits as a ‘thank you’.
All members are part owners of The Southern Co-operative, having an important and trusted role to play in selecting who should represent members on the Board of Directors. Each member who votes online will receive a bonus 2,500 points towards their share of the profits, or 1,500 bonus points if voting in person or via post.

Five candidates are hoping to earn your vote to fill the four seats up for grabs on the Board of Director: Parish Clerk – Amber Vincent-Prior, Local Sourcing Manager – Katharine Hibbert, Head of an Academic Department – Elizabeth Rogers, Retiree – Anthony David Goodman and Deputy Bursar of an Independent School – Neil Blanchard. The Southern Co-operative’s Board of Directors develops strategies to ensure that the Society operates as a sustainable and successful co-operative business with the aim of reinvesting and circulating profits back into the local economy in the south of England.
The Board monitors the performance of the Chief Executive and his Leadership Team who have the responsibility of implementing the plans and managing the Society’s business on a day-to-day basis.
This election is being held to fill four seats on the Board of Directors; three vacancies have arisen as a result of Directors retiring by rotation and one has arisen as an additional Director has resigned. Three of the seats are for terms of three years and one is for a term of one year
